His main focus is in the study of two extensive Late Byzantine hoards at the British Museum (UK) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (USA). Apart from them, he participates in the following * ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECTS: -Excavations of the Netherlands Institute in Turkey at Barçın Höyük, Nicaea/Iznik district. Responsible for the publication of the Byzantine cemetery. - Tekfur Sarayi Excavations. Responsible for the publication of the Byzantine pottery. - Walls of Istanbul Project, GABAM. Digital documentation of the Byzantine fortifications. - Excavations at the city of Thebes, Central Greece: Ismenion Hill Project by the Bucknell University under the auspices of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, and Kadmeia Citadel by the Greek Archaeological Society. Team member and responsible for the Byzantine period finds.
