Dean of the School of Nursing, Prof. Ayişe Karadağ, has been elected as a member of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) for her significant, sustained, and extraordinary impact on health and health services. Prof. Karadağ is the first nurse from the Republic of Türkiye, with a 100-year history in the nursing profession, to receive this title. She was deemed worthy of this membership due to her educational activities on "Chronic Wound Management and Stoma Care Nursing," a substantial health issue in aging societies, her research that influences health policies, and the results of her social service contributions.

Prof. Zeynep Gürhan Canlı, has been recognized as an "Established Thought Leader in Consumer Research" by a recently published comprehensive scholarly benchmarking analysis.

Our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics and School of Medicine has been elected as a member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO). With over 2,000 members, including 92 Nobel Prize-winning researchers, EMBO is known for its work that steers the direction of lifesciences worldwide.

Our PhD student Osman Görkem Çetin and Prof. Sami Gülgöz from the Department of Psychology published a study in the journal Memory, which aimed to examine the similarities and differences between real-life memories and fictional memories.
